XC races are back for an 8th season! The XC series will consist of four Wednesday evening mountain bike races running through the spring and summer, and one evening fall race.
Our courses this season will include some classics of years past.
Our title sponsor is once again Arrow Helicopters. Thanks for eight years of support!
Races will be held at the Mt MacPherson trail system located off Hwy 23 South, except for one race at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Exact location of the start/finish for each race and course details are available on the webpage under each specific race tab. Please check the website to confirm location one week prior to each race.
Courses will consist of single track, double track and dirt road sections. You should feel comfortable riding the blue square trails at MacPherson. It is possible that small sections of the race course may use black diamond trails.
Races will use two different formats – a fixed number of laps (usually two) or a fixed time format. See each race page for specifics. Total distance will be approximately 12-20 km with an elevation gain of 300-600 meters per race. For two lap courses expect finishing times around 50-60 min for the winner and up to two hours for slower riders. You may ride only one lap of the course if you wish however you will be ranked behind anyone who has ridden two laps.
If weather and trail conditions are unfavorable the race director reserves the right to modify the course on short notice if necessary.
Please arrive 20-30 minutes before the event to register. Please note the earlier start time for the first race.
All events are sanctioned by Cycling BC.

All race entry fees will go right back into a prize pot that will be split between the top three male and female finishers in the series standings, and one random male and female racer.
To encourage participation we will be crowning male and female series champions. The top three finishers in the series standings will split the prize money 35%-25%- 15%. The remaining 25% will be awarded by random draw. The more races you do the better your chance to win the random draw. To keep things interesting we’ve added some novel ways to score points. Separate scoring will be kept for males and females. Scoring will be based on top 4 out of 5 results (includes the enduro).
