Race Start: when riders get to the top of TNT
The Three Things You Need To Race:
- RCA Membership ($30 each year)
- Fiver ($5 at each race)
Parking – Riders will park at the Griffith Creek parking lot and along the road. Please do your best to car pool on the way out so as to minimize the amount of vehicles in the area. The registration table will be located at Griffith Creek and riders will shuttle or pedal from here as well.
The Course – The race course follows TNT from top to bottom and involves 3 road crossings before reaching the finish line located on the 4th road. Road crossing will have flagging or a trail marshal to direct riders. Quickly into the race there are 2 options: riders are permitted to do the rock roll on the right or to take the round-a-bout line to the left.
The Race – After the pre-race briefing, all riders must make their way to the TNT trailhead via Ridgewalk. Riders will line up at the start line in their own order and follow the timer’s instructions. After your race run, you can head back to the registration area for results and presentations. NOTE: At the top, riders must remove their chains and help is available if needed. Bring a plastic bag, you won’t want a greasy chain in you pocket!
Volunteers – 10 volunteers will be needed for registration, timing and marshaling. If anyone is interested in volunteering please email Brad Christie (AKA Cookie) at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Notes: Please car pool to the race, be prompt with the times, don’t forget your Revelstoke Cycling Association Membership and bring $5!
