Arrow Heli - XC Fiver Series - Race # 2 - June 7
It’s time for another installment of the Arrow Helicopters XC Fiver Series!Click HERE - for all the details of times, reg, course etc.Our second race on June 7th will challenge you on a variation of a perennial favorite course. Your climbing legs will be well tested but don’t despair you do get rewarded for all the work you put in with descents of Berm Donor and Dusty Beaver. Descending these trails is fun any day but it is especially fun if you are chasing or being chased.Need another reason to consider racing? Arrow Helicopters is offering $20 off a helicopter drop this summer to anyone who takes part in at least two XC Fiver races. Not only do you get a discount on your lift up to Cartier or Joss, but Arrow will also kick in a $20 donation to the RCA per rider who takes advantage of this offer.For those that haven’t heard racers do not need to purchase Cycling BC Insurance this season. Race entry is now $5 (hence the “Fiver” name) though you do need to be an RCA member to race. RCA membership can be purchased online or at race registration.Registration for the second race is located close to the Griffith Creek trailhead. Turn left on Short Hop Nordic trail and climb to the 4-way junction with BCIT and Cedar Ramble. Please park at the Griffith Creek parking lot. Registration is between 6:15 and 6:45 pm while the race starts at 7:00pm. Feel free to re-use your number plate from previous races.
