Cyclocross Racing in Revelstoke!

Have you ever wanted to try out cyclocross racing? You've got a chance to do so the next two Wednesdays! The RCA is hosting two cyclocross toonies this season on August 31st and September 7th. There is no need to actually own a cyclocross bike - mountain bikes and road bikes with knobby tires can be used.

The races will be located at the Mt MacPherson Nordic Lodge parking lot. Race start is at 6:00pm with races lasting 40 minutes. Come 15-30 minutes early to register. The course will be 2km long (riders will finish as many laps as possible in the allowed time) and will feature obstacles such as barricades and running up short steep hills. Cross is about testing your bike handling skills and ability to to transition quickly before and after obstacles.

Cost is the usual $2 for RCA members and all riders need insurance (single event insurance can be purchased for $10).

Young and old, experienced or not, all are invited! Come out and join us on Wednesday - you'll be challenged and you'll have fun!
