Dose x Flowt ‘For the Trails’ Coffee Collab

What's better than a morning coffee before your bike ride? How about a morning coffee that also supports the trails?

Jake Stanfield, manager of Flowt, inspects the beans.

Flowt Bikes & Skis and Dose Coffee worked together to create 'For the Trails,' a new coffee roast where a portion of all sales go to the RCA.

”We’d been roasting only a few weeks before Jake (Stanfield, manager of Flowt) reached out to us with the proposition of collaborating on a coffee release that would include a donation to the RCA,” explained Lemmie Green, Dose’s Director of Coffee. “Since many of our staff bike the local trails and shop at Flowt (I’d just bought a bike there the same week!), we thought it would be awesome for our first ever collab!”

The Dose and Flowt teams work together on crafting the blend at the Dose Roastery.

The result is For the Trails, an organic, fully washed, grade one field blend from Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Alto Mayo in San Martin, Peru. It features hints of toffee, and pear and goes great whether used for a drip coffee or in your morning espresso.

“It’s a super approachable and versatile coffee that is goes great on drip and espresso, black or with milk or cream,” explained Lemmie. “To me it tastes like hobnob biscuits with a round mouthfeel. I also know that Peru has legendary mountain biking too, so seemed appropriate!”

The Flowt team was invited to the Dose Roastery in the Big Eddy to try out the coffee and take part in the maiden blend. The coffee was released a few weeks, with a label designed by Evan Miller from Get Born Co., and has been flying off the shelf.

For the Trails is available at Flowt, Dose, Mountain Goodness, Le Marche, and online. $2 from every bag sold go to the RCA, or $7 if you buy it directly from Flowt.

Thank you Dose and Flowt for this creative collab to support our trails!
