Last week's Twoonie Road Race presented by the 112 Steakhouse made for some great competition under beautiful blue skies. Don't forget that tonight (Monday) there is a social group ride leaving from La Baguette at 5:45pm and on Wednesday there will be a fast paced group ride heading out at 5:30 from La Baguette. 19 racers turned up and most of them took on the entire 40km course though there was a 20km option as well. There were two intermediate sprints with time bonuses available to encourage the racers to cross the line first. Above: Kellen Viznaugh holds off Stuart Smith at the second sprint.The final sprint to the finish line was much the same with a slight shuffle in the the top five spots. Kellen Viznaugh took the win followed by Stuart Smith and Rich Hamilton. There was even some time for socializing as the sun sank below the hills. See you at the next race!
