Thanksgiving Back + Specialized Soil Search Dig Day

The RCA is thrilled to be taking part in Thanksgiving Back once again on Saturday, Sept. 28. This year, we’re even more excited, because Specialized is joining in to help bolster this great initiative.

Thanksgiving Back is an initiative from Tourism Revelstoke that provides visitors the opportunity to engage with Revelstoke's strong community by volunteering with local organizations on registered projects. As a thank-you, you can get the costs of your accommodation during the event dates reimbursed up to a value of $400 when you book two or more nights.

Soil Searching is an initiative by Specialized to support trail maintenance around the world. It is a chance to connect with your trail community—to get your hands dirty, build awesome trails, ride bikes, eat warm food, drink a cold beverage, and meet great people. They’ll come out with great food and prizes for volunteers.

For this year’s event, we’ll be meeting at 9 a.m. (location TBD) and doing about five to six hours of work. Afterwards, we’ll go for a short group ride to enjoy the fruits of our labour.
