New RCA Tire Recycling Program
Do you have a pile of old bike tires taking up space in the shed? Do you wonder what to do with them?
We are thrilled to announce our new bicycle tire recycling program, in partnership with Skookum Gear, Tantrum Ride Co., Cycle Logic, and Revelstoke Mountain Resort. You can now drop off your old tires at one of those shops, where our trail crew will collect them for delivery to the tire recycling depot.
Here’s out it works:
You drop off your tires at one of the four shops.
The shop will bundle the tires and get them ready for pick-up.
About once a month, our trail crew will pick up the tires and bring them to Revelstoke Tire in the Big Eddy.
The tires will be picked up by Liberty Tire, who will recycle them into products such as rubberized asphalt, playground surfaces, and athletic tracks.
We’d like to thank Liberty Tire and Tire Stewardship BC for working with us to make this program happen and help keep all these tires out of the landfill.
