Are you ready for the Mt Mac Challenge?

It is happening this Saturday at 10 am on the Macpherson bike trails. Come out and ride 19 or 29 km on a fun course that includes all your favorite descents. There is an 11 km Junior option as well. Only $4 for members (plus $10 for insurance if required). There are a few updates and reminders that we have regarding the event.

• Registration is available Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:00pm at Tantrum Bike Co. Please bring a completed registration form and day insurance form (if needed). These are available on the webpage under the Mt Mac Challenge registration tab. Payment can be in cash or cheque. Thanks to Tantrum Bike Co for staying open late - this is also a great opportunity to drop in and pick up tickets to the premiere of Not 2 Bad on Saturday night.
• Registration is available on the day of the race as well but only until 9:15 am. We would prefer if you registered on Friday please (not to mention you can sleep in an extra 30 min).
• If you already have insurance coverage please bring proof to registration. Note though that you can purchase day of race insurance for just $10 (no need to spend $40 for the yearly insurance if you have no plans to do other events).
• If you are planning to take part consider indicating that on the Facebook event page or send us an email at mtmacchallenge@gmail.com. If you don't let us know before Friday afternoon you can't blame us if we don't have enough porta potties!
• There is a Junior course that is 11km long. Note that it is not marked on the course maps although a description is available in the course description. Essentially the course short cuts onto Dusty Beaver from Hydro Way and skips Berm Donor/Tantrum by using Toad School and Buff Enuff. Both intersections will be staffed with marshals.
• We still require some volunteers to help with the event. We could also use 2 more people to help with the start/finish and two more course marshals. All volunteers will be provided with lunch courtesy of La Baguette - thanks! If you are interested in helping please reply to mtmacchallenge@gmail.com.
• We've got some draw prizes available from a variety of sponsors. Thanks to Valhalla Pure, Stoke Roasted, Sol Mountain Touring, and Skookum Cycle for their donations.If your business is interested in supporting the event with some draw prizes get in touch!
• Podium finishers (Challenge, Sampler, and two different Junior age groups) will receive special prizes courtesy of the Modern Bakeshop!
