Mt Mount Challenge is a wrap!

Despite the uncertain weather forecast a number of intrepid riders came out to MacPherson on Saturday to challenge themselves against the clock on the Mt Mac Challenge course. It was great to see such a large number of new participants to our events on the start list!

The course included descents of Flowdown, Dusty Beaver, Berm Donor, Stimulus and TNT which led to lots of smiles at the finish line. Surprisingly we don't recall any complaints about having to climb Ridgewalk at the end of the race!
Lee English made the trip from Salmon Arm and showed that he is still in good form by winning the men's race in the Challenge category. Early on he was being pushed hard by local enduro pro Stu Dickson. Lee was overheard commenting afterwards on how fast that young guy was on the descents… too bad Stu had a mechanical which forced him to end his race after the first lap.
The women's event was a tightly fought affair right until the very end with Meghan Tabor squeaking out the win over Casey Brown and Nikki Norrie.
Special kudos to the kids that conquered the slippery conditions - Carlos and Ruby Serrouya, Zoe Larson and Brook Davies.

These events wouldn't happen without volunteers so thanks to the large crew that came out to help. Thanks also to our event supporters - Sol Mountain, Modern Bakery, La Baguette, Valhalla Pure, Skookum Cycle, Tantrum Bike Co and Stoke Roasted.
