Frisby Results and Overall DH Standings

A small but hardy group of racers and volunteers turned up for the annual Frigid Fingers DH Toonie race presented by Flowt Bikes and Skis. The rain let up before and after the timed runs, but the weather decided it had been too kind the last couple of years, and racers were treated to a cold, wet ride down, with many off the bike experiences reported but the smiles were none the smaller for it, everyone made it down in one piece, and many hot dogs were still roasted over a bonfire in celebration. A timing malfunction meant that the day's results and the series overall could not be calculated on the day, but they can be viewed in full below.
Megan Rose was the only female racer present, but she would have been hard to beat anyway with a greasy fast time of 9 minutes 54 seconds. In his first DH Toonie, Brian Langlois had a great showing with a time of 8:52, landing him a third place in the men's race. The battle between Henning Schipper and Nathan Jecks continued with Nathan putting 17 seconds into 2nd place Henning for a winning time of 8:10.
Look for a summary of the whole season and the battle for the overall title in the RCA Fall newsletter. Thanks for another great race season, and if you see yourself in the top 5 of the overall, get in touch with Cookie at christie.brad@gmail.com so he can give you your medal!
