Last chance to register for the Mt Revelstoke Steamer Hill Climb! At the moment we’ve got 28 riders signed up for the challenge of riding 26km and 1400m of vertical on Sunday August 7th at 7am.If the fresh asphalt and blooming alpine flowers are not enough enticement for you to register we’ve got great prizing for podium finishers!Each category winner will go home with a $50 gift certificate to our title sponsor the 112 Restaurant, as well as $50 cash. Second and third place finishers will receive $25 gift certificates to the 112 Restaurant. We’ve also got some great draw prizes from Flowt Bikes, Valhalla Pure Revelstoke and Stoke Roasted Coffee to give away.Think you’ve got the legs to challenge for the course record? In 2014 Jordan Cheyne set the current mark of 1:06:59. To spice things up we are offering a $200 bonus for breaking the course record. Is the new pavement going to speed up times? We’ll find out Sunday…Registration is only open until Saturday evening. There will not be any day of race registration so head over to www.zone4.ca and register now. We are also running a toonie event on Saturday evening. Warm your legs up with a time trial up the Revelstoke Dam hill on Hwy 23N.These events would not happen without our committed volunteers – we could use a few more though so get in touch if you are interested in helping out.Thanks to Parks Canada for their support in allowing us to host this event on the parkway.
