Annual General Meeting Recap
More than 40 people attended the Revelstoke Cycling Association’s AGM on Monday, Nov. 27. We’re thrilled by the great turnout and the level of engagement shown by our members.
This was a great year for the RCA. Here are a few highlights:
We surpassed 900 members for the first time.
We built Phase 1 of the Boulder Climb Trail.
We hosted nine Fiver races, eight Dig Nights, Thanksgiving Back, and the Poker Ride
We worked with the Stoke Youth Network to host ShredHers, a group ride for grade 6 and 7 girls
We received over $150,000 in grants.
We launched our Trail Adoption Program and doubled our sponsorship revenue.
We hired a brand new three-person trail crew and were able to keep them working for six months.
We hosted four major races on our trails: the Canadian Enduro League, Revelstoke Women’s Enduro, TranSelkirk Run, and Revy 50.
Check out our AGM presentation to find out more.
We also held elections for six positions on the board. All positions were filled by acclamation:
President: Meghan Tabor (returning)
Treasurer: Adam Brown (new)
Director-at-large, trail planning: Vincent Jauvin (returning)
Director-at-large, events: Jake Stanfield (new)
Director-at-large, urban and road: Nick Decarie-Paynter (new)
Director-at-large, families and events: Curtis Moore (new)
Cheers to Meghan and Vincent for their continued commitment to the RCA, and to Adam, Jake, Nick, and Curtis for stepping up to the Board. We’d also like to give a huge thanks to outgoing directors Holly Ryall (Treasurer) and Charlotte Sit (advocacy & communications), who each spent four years on the board; and Erin Collins (signs and assets), and Sarah Stephen (indigenous relations) who sat on the board for the past two years.
