Volunteers put final touches on Ridgewalk connector

IMG_27668-1/2 volunteers came out to brave the heat and bugs to build a boardwalk over the boggy trench at the start of the new Ridgewalk Connector. The 1/2 volunteer being 9-week-old Zachary, who was there in more of an advisory role; he left the hammer work to his mother. The new boardwalk weaves it's way through the forest to cover the mud and make the new trail completely rideable. With the completion of the boardwalk we now have continuous singletrack from the Macpherson Parking lot to the top of TNT/Ridgewalk. The reviews we have been getting on the new trail sections is that they are a rideable but challenging climb, I've heard the climb from Black Forest to the top of Ridgewalk called the 'Cardiac Climb'. Try it out and let us know what you think.
